Attendees can choose to fly into either Washington Dulles International Airport, which is roughly 35 minutes to campus by taxi or shuttle, or Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, which is only 10-15 minutes to campus by taxi or shuttle. (Allow more time during heavy traffic.)

There are several ways to get from the airport to the conference. Taxis and shuttles are available 24 hours a day at every airport terminal. Please note that the Washington Marriott Georgetown does not have an airport shuttle.

  • Via shuttle
Go Airport Shuttle and SuperShuttle, among others, offer shuttle bus service to and from both airports. Fares to GW’s Marvin Center vary, as they depend upon whether or not your trip is direct and how many people are in your party.

  • Via Metrorail
Attendees arriving into Reagan National can take Metrorail’s Blue Line train directly to the Foggy Bottom-GWU station. Travel time is approximately 15 minutes, and the fare ranges between $2.35 and $2.70.
Attendees arriving into Dulles International can take Metrorail’s Silver Line Express Bus to the Wiehle-Reston East station, where they can then board the Silver Line train directly to the Foggy-Bottom-GWU station. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the fare for the bus is $5. The fare from Wiehle-Reston East station to Foggy Bottom Station can range from $3.85 to $6.
If taking Metrorail, you must also purchase a SmarTrip card, which is available at most stations.
The Washington Marriott Georgetown is 0.4 miles from Foggy Bottom (Orange, Silver & Blue lines) and 0.5 miles from Dupont Circle (Red Line)

  • Via taxi
Washington Flyer Taxicabs serve Washington Dulles International Airport exclusively with 24-hour service to and from the airport. Fares to GW typically range between $60 and $80.
Numerous taxicab companies travel to and from Reagan National Airport. Fares to GW typically range between $15 and $25.
